Excitement about the total solar eclipse happening on April 8 is building across the US! And no wonder—it’s a rare astronomical event that won’t be seen again in this part of the world until 2044. More than 32 million Americans who live along what’s called “the path of totality”—which begins in Mexico, ends in eastern Canada, and encompasses 15 US states along the way—will be able to witness the eclipse to its fullest extent.
