What inspired this book? This book was inspired by doing escape rooms with my family. I like that when you’re in an escape room you discover skills others have that you didn’t know they had until you’re with them. What makes this story appealing to kids? I think kids will like that in this mystery, the characters go out and solve something that the adults in their life aren’t able to figure out. How do you like to spend your free time? I love taking walks. That’s when I come up with the majority of my inspiration for books. Three words to describe friendship? Loyalty, understanding, and trust. Funhouse or haunted house? Funhouse! Even though I’ve written books with spooky stories and I love Halloween, I don’t love haunted houses.…
