Salzburg, Austria Rare dormouse spotted after 20 years After 20 years of not being seen in the wild, a rare tree dormouse has been found in a forest in Austria. Anna-Sophie Pirtscher spotted one after searching for the species for two years. Researchers want to learn more about the species before their winter hibernation. Pirtscher told the BBC that the find felt “gigantic”.
