Going litter picking

Name: Aadam “In the UK, more than two million pieces of litter are dropped every day. Littering is harmful because it can contribute to air, land and sea pollution. If every person picked up one piece of litter, our canals and rivers in England and Wales would be plastic-free, according to the Canal and River Trust. Many people litter because of laziness and carelessness. The Central Cambridge Mosque, together with Cambridge City Council, organised a group of people to help the environment by arranging a litter picking event. Equipped with a litter picker, gloves and a rubbish bag, I set out to clean the local area and help our community.
