A beekeeping bonanza

In Scotland, Ross Main tracked down his grandfather’s old beehive and discovered that bees were still living there. Main went to the old quarry (a place where stone for building is dug out of the ground) in East Lothian where his grandfather had kept several beehives until he died in 2007. Main was amazed to find a hive and lots of bees were still there. “I couldn’t believe the bees had survived,” he said. He moved the hive 50 miles to his home in Fife and set up a business selling honey and hosting beekeeping experiences for others. His children and wife help him look after their five million bees and the business.…
