Terrapin finds a new home

A terrapin (turtle) discovered at a water-treatment plant in Totton, England, has a new home. The creature was spotted lazing in the sun by ecologist Tom Alexander, who kept it for a short time in his bathtub. “My children loved having him at home and named him Terry,” he told BBC News. The turtle, which was the size of a dinner plate, has gone to an animal centre. There, staff found that Terry was female and renamed her Terri (the female version).…
