Minecraft creates frozen worlds

BBC Earth has collaborated with Minecraft Education to bring out five new worlds for players to explore, all inspired by the TV series Frozen Planet II. The first world was released on 21 September, and the other four will be released weekly. Players can not only explore the landscapes, but also play from the perspective of the animals who live in the freezing conditions, including penguins, polar bears and killer whales. The aim is to help players to better understand the challenges that wildlife faces in today’s world as a result of climate change (long-term changes in world weather patterns, including rising temperatures).
