A new study by the University of Hong Kong, China, estimates that 20 quadrillion ants live on Earth. The Argentine ant is just one species but, according to insect experts from the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, it’s probably the most widespread of all ants. ● LIFESPAN: Workers live about a month as adults. ● HABITAT: Originally from northern Argentina.
