A brilliant eye for colour

Artist Yinka Ilori’s fun and colourful designs are on display at the Design Museum in London. The exhibition, which is free to visit and lasts until 25 June 2023, is called Yinka Ilori: Parables for Happiness. On show are projects like the Launderette of Dreams, which is built from more than 200,000 Lego bricks and which Ilori made with the help of children from his old primary school. There is also a beautiful chair, street crossings and murals (wall paintings). His creations are inspired by his British-Nigerian heritage, such as materials from West Africa and furniture from his childhood home.…
