7 November 1867 Marie Curie is born Scientist Marie Sklodowska-Curie was born in Warsaw, Poland. She moved to Paris in 1891 to study and lived in France for the rest of her life. In 1898, with her husband Pierre Curie, she discovered the elements radium and polonium. These breakthroughs led to the couple winning the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1903, along with Henri Becquerel. Marie Curie also won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1911. She died in 1934.…
