Books Abroad

Books Abroad is a small Scottish charity that, since 1982, has promoted literacy, education and understanding to help people in developing countries escape from poverty. The team collects good quality second-hand books and sends them across the world, for free. About 125,000 books are distributed every year and, so far, more than four million books have been sent to libraries and educational establishments in poor areas worldwide.
