Trying a tastier type of art

The artist Andy Warhol (1928–1987) brought the “pop art” movement to life in the 1960s with his paintings of celebrities and everyday items, such as bananas and tins of soup. Now, a food artist from Cardiff is making this artform edible. Nathan Wyburn spent 10 hours and used more than 120 Pop Tarts (a type of pastry snack) to make this picture of the famous actor Marilyn Monroe. His picture is very similar to one of Warhol’s best-known artworks. Pop Tarts have soft, flavoured centres, which have made parts of the picture a little stained.
