Name: Mela “When I was born, I was diagnosed with Apert syndrome which affects the bones in my skull, face, hands and feet. I have been going to Great Ormond Street Hospital since I was a few weeks old and still have regular appointments. This year is my 15th consecutive year participating in the RBC Race for the Kids (a charity event). Over the years our family and friends have raised over £19,000. This year was very special, as it’s for the new Children’s Cancer Centre so that young people can receive treatment and care they need.
