The friends raising funds

On 4 October, best friends Hughie and Freddie opened a special new rooftop play area at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, which they helped to get built. The boys raised £300,000 to revamp the play area, which will be used by children being treated at the hospital. When Hughie was 10 years old he was diagnosed with leukaemia, a serious illness that affects blood cells. His best friend Freddie started raising money for the Royal Manchester Children’s hospital, where Hughie was being treated. As soon as Hughie was well enough he joined his mate in fundraising. Hughie has now fully recovered.…
