Nintendo’s new game gets you moving in your home.

Imagine playing badminton, bowling, football, tennis and volleyball, then finishing off with a bit of sword fighting – all without leaving your living room. Then imagine how much furniture would get broken in the process. Thankfully, Switch Sports is a way to do all this virtually, without poking a sofa, dog or passing grown-up with a racket or sword. Released for Nintendo’s Switch, the game includes the six sports above, using the console’s Joy-Con controllers to turn your real-life motions into on-screen action, whether that’s swinging, bowling or sword-swishing. You can play with up to 16 players in a bowling match but there are also online competitions to see how you compare to friends and people around the world.
