Alberta, Canada Wildfires spark emergency A state of emergency has been declared in the Canadian province of Alberta, where nearly 100 wildfires are burning. Firefighters from across Canada have joined the effort to put them out. Unusually hot and dry weather has helped the fires to rage out of control. Around 30,000 people have left their homes and farmers have had to move their animals.
