The Special Olympics World Winter Games are starting.

You’ve probably heard of the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games – but what about the Special Olympics? It is a global sports organisation that aims to give people of all ages with learning disabilities the chance to play and compete in all sorts of sports. Learning disabilities affect the way a person gains knowledge or skills. Some people with a learning disability need support and might not be able to live independently (without help). For others, it could mean finding it hard to understand complex information. The Special Olympics World Winter Games are taking place from 8 to 15 March in Turin, Italy.
