Music stars shine at the BRIT Awards

On 1 March, the BRIT Awards took place at London’s O2 Arena. Lots of artists gathered for the ceremony to celebrate the UK’s music industry. Singer Charli XCX was the biggest winner, collecting five awards including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Album (for Brat). The album has won lots of fans across the world and gave new meaning to the word brat. The term even made it into the Collins Dictionary as 2024’s word of the year, meaning “a confident and independent attitude”. The ceremony featured live performances from singers and musicians, including Sabrina Carpenter, who opened the show with a British-themed performance of her hit songs alongside dancers dressed as royal guards. Carpenter was also presented with the Global Success award on the night.…
