Our cover features nine of the more than 1,500 athletes who competed at the Special Olympics World Winter Games. We want to congratulate everyone who took part and send a big shout-out to the GB athletes, several of whom brought back medals (page 18). To reach the top level of your sport is an astonishing achievement, requiring dedication, skill and courage. Those characteristics were also needed by the two astronauts, Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore (page 2), whose mission to the ISS was unexpectedly extended. It was so exciting to see the capsule carrying them splash down safely. Imagine getting back to Earth and being welcomed by a pod of dolphins!
