Best films revealed at Oscars

On 12 March, the best films of the past year were celebrated at the 95th Oscars, which is also known as the Academy Awards. This glamorous annual event is one of the most important nights in filmmaking. One of the winners was Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, a reimagining of the classic story about a wooden puppet. The film took the award for Best Animated Feature Film. British author Charlie Mackesy was “speechless” after winning the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film. The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse is a TV production based on Mackesy’s popular illustrated book. Mackesy also co-directed the film. There were also plenty of firsts at the awards.
