Bus fares cut for under-21s

On 20 February, the Welsh government announced a plan to charge young people less to take bus journeys. From September, 16 to 21-year-olds will pay £1 per journey and £3 for an unlimited day ticket. Cavan Griffin, who is 17, told BBC News the bus was costing him £6.50 each day – more than he earns for one hour of work. Another student, Keri Lloyd-Jones, has to take six buses per day to and from college. She said, “This would be so much help”.…
