Giant jellyfish found on beaches

Along the coast of Wales, something strange has been washed up on the shore. In June, at Fairbourne beach, the tide brought in an enormous jellyfish, which is thought to be one metre wide. Locals think the creature, which is a barrel jellyfish, could have been attracted to the area by a sudden increase in levels of algae (tiny plants that grow in water), which jellyfish love to eat. In May another giant jellyfish was spotted on Aberdyfi beach in Wales.…
