Pop star Leona Lewis is passionate about animals.

She might be better known for her fantastic musical career but Leona Lewis is also a huge animal fan. In 2006, she won The X Factor (a TV talent show) and became a global pop star. She is also passionate about an animal refuge she supports, Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, in Essex, England, which looks after sick and neglected animals. To mark World Environment Day on 5 June, Lewis held a day of events at the sanctuary, which included a screening for children of It’s Up to Us, a short film she has narrated that features King Charles.
