Are baths better than showers?

Having a bath is relaxing but showers are more efficient.

We turn on the tap and hot water comes out. It seems so straightforward that we forget that it has taken thousands of years to achieve this feat of plumbing. One of the earliest known baths dates back to the Indus Valley civilisation that existed in modern-day Pakistan around 2500–1700BC. Showers were invented a lot later. Today, many people have both a bath and a shower in their homes, so are lucky enough to be able to choose how to wash. Some people swear by showers to wake them up in the morning, whereas others say a bath at night helps them to unwind and sleep soundly.
