Protesting through song

Jo Flanagan is the co-founder of the Climate Choir Movement, which has more than 700 singers at 14 Climate Choirs across the UK, including London and Ballycastle, Northern Ireland. Flanagan and choir members do things a bit differently. Through singing they protest about climate change and the harm to nature. “We try and change hearts and minds through singing rather than shouting,” Flanagan told BBC News. This year some of the choirs are taking part in events for The Great Big Green Week (from 8 to 16 June). It’s about celebrating the work communities do to tackle climate change and protect nature.…
