Peculiar places to vote

Most people in the UK might expect to find their local polling station in a school, church or their nearest town hall. In fact, voting can take place in all sorts of weird and wonderful places. As long as a location follows the rules from the Electoral Commission guidelines, pretty much anywhere can be a polling station. These have included an outdoor swimming pool in Arundel, England, and a hairdressing salon in Merthyr, Wales.
