Ghosts or pirates? I think ghosts have the edge, even though I don’t actually believe in them (despite my next answer). They have huge comedy potential. I’d love to be friends with a ghost, like Sid is in Dead Good Detectives. Ever seen a ghost? I smelt a ghost at Hampton Court Palace. I smelt baking bread, which I thought was coming from a café. The guide told me that lots of people claim to smell baking bread in that room. Instantly, the smell vanished. Of course, my parents didn’t believe me. That’s my only ghost story… ghost bread. Any writing tips? Think about a story for a long time before you start it. I fall asleep thinking about stories, daydream about them when I’m walking the dog and talk…
