Tasmanian kelp forests Conservationists have found a way to restore forests of kelp in the seas off the Australian island of Tasmania. The seaweed had almost vanished due to warming waters, but scientists found that temperature-resistant kelp grown in tanks can grow quickly when put back into the wild. English beavers Beavers that have been introduced or naturally spread into England face uncertainty over plans to give them legal protection. They have been protected by Scottish law since 2019, but the Government stopped working on a UK-wide law. Officials now say a law will be introduced in October.…
