A superstar student

When Alena Analeigh Wicker was three years old she wasn’t reading picture books – she was already on to books with chapters. By the time she was 12, Wicker had left high school in Texas, US, and started to study for two degrees at university. “I love school, I love learning, I love reading,” she told The Washington Post newspaper. Now aged 13, Wicker is the youngest-ever black student to be accepted into medical school in the US. Wicker, who hopes to be a doctor by the age of 18, has this advice for young people, “It doesn’t matter how old you are, you can do it. Don’t let anybody tell you no.”…
