Sea lions take over the town A colony of sea lions has moved into the town of Tome in Chile, South America. One local fisherman, who was interviewed by a TV news crew, described them as “a plague”. As he was talking on camera, one large sea lion interrupted by pushing through a gate behind him. More than 300 of the animals are living on the town’s beach and they have been fighting with local dogs. The huge sea creatures are thought to be escaping from predators, such as killer whales.
