In the Heights (PG) In cinemas There are several movie musicals coming out this year but the film version of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s stage show In the Heights is going to take some beating. Lin-Manuel Miranda is an actor and singer who wrote some of the songs for Moana and starred in Mary Poppins Returns. In the Heights tells the story of a community living in the Washington Heights area of New York, US, seen through the eyes of shop owner Usnavi. Kicking off with an amazing musical number, the following 143 minutes is quite something – a lively explosion of story, dance, song and summer. It’s perhaps a bit too long but you’ll struggle to find a more energetic and rewatchable film in cinemas this summer.…
