Flying car takes to the sky

A flying car has turned science-fiction into reality after successfully completing a test flight between two airports in Slovakia. The AirCar, built over two years at a cost of around £1.7 million, was invented by Professor Stefan Klein. Powered by an engine from car maker BMW, it uses regular petrol-pump fuel and can transform from a car into a plane in just two minutes and 15 seconds. Klein has wanted to build a flying car ever since he was little and watched a French spy film that featured a car turning into a rocket-powered plane.
