Oldest tartan recreated

You can now own a copy of the world’s oldest tartan after it was recreated by experts from a piece that dates back to the 16th century. Tartan is a type of colourful fabric that is checked (has a pattern of small squares) and it is closely associated with Scotland. The historic piece was found in muddy ground in Glen Affric, Scotland, around 40 years ago. The recreated fabric was produced by the company House of Edgar with the help of a tartan historian.…
