The US Red food dye banned On 15 January, the US Food and Drug Administration said that foods and some drugs can no longer contain Red Dye 3. This is a type of dye used in some medicines, sweets and drinks in the US. It has been banned because of possible links to cancer (a collection of diseases caused by oddly behaving cells).
