The wildfires in Los Angeles (see our report on page 2) have been headline news for over a week now. Events like this can be scary, but it’s important to remember that they are rare – and that’s why they are in the news. If you are worried or upset by what you’ve read, don’t bottle up your feelings – talk to a trusted adult about it. As our report highlights, people, communities, charities and emergency services are busy helping those affected by the fires while experts are working out how to prevent something similar happening in the future.
