The chef who loves breakfast

Shivi Ramoutar helps children get a good start.

Going without breakfast is like trying to drive a car without putting any petrol in it, chef and TV presenter Shivi Ramoutar tells The Week Junior. “You’re not going to go very far,” she says. “If your stomach is grumbling there’s no way you can concentrate.” Ramoutar, who is a chef and a mum, was speaking before the Great Big Breakfast campaign. This is all about people getting together for breakfast. It also asks them to make a small donation to Magic Breakfast, a charity that provides healthy morning meals to around 200,000 children and young people in England and Scotland.
