The first children’s AI Summit

The world’s first Children’s AI Summit took place in London on 4 February. More than 100 children aged between eight and 18 took part and shared their views through interactive sessions. Together, they put together a manifesto – a list of ideas and demands for world leaders. The manifesto was presented at the AI Action Summit in Paris. One of their demands was that the environmental impact of AI is tackled by powering it with energy sources that don’t harm the environment. Another was to put rules in place that make sure AI is safe for children.…
