Are all zebra stripe patterns different?

Zebras, like the Grévy’s zebras we have at Whipsnade, are all born with unique stripy patterns. These stripes are like a human fingerprint and can even help keepers to identify different zebras living in a herd. There’s often debate about what colour zebras’ stripes are. Grévy’s zebras are black with white stripes. We know this because of the colour inside the zebras’ ears. Have you got a question you’d really like to ask a zookeeper?
