Awards for Wallace & Gromit

On 16 February, the films Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl and Wicked each won two awards at the BAFTAs. BAFTA stands for British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Each year, BAFTA holds a big ceremony to give awards to the best films over the past 12 months. The ceremony was held at the Royal Festival Hall in London, and was hosted by Doctor Who actor David Tennant. There were 28 categories, recognising people’s work in lots of different areas including acting, costume design, script writing and directing. This year the Children’s & Family Film category was introduced for the first time, and Vengeance Most Fowl took the prize. It was up against Flow, Kensuke’s Kingdom and The Wild Robot.
