Shrinking Moon causes problems

According to a new study, the core of the Moon, which orbits Earth, is very slowly shrinking as it cools. Like a grape shrivelling into a raisin, this is making the surface of the Moon develop creases. These creases are causing landslides as well as moonquakes across the surface that can last for hours. This could be a problem for robotic rovers or humans trying to explore the Moon. For long-term missions where humans will be living on the Moon and carrying out research over long periods of time, space agencies will need to consider the safest place to set up a base.…
