Help take care of bumblebees

On 12 February, the Bumbles on Blooms project was launched by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), a gardening charity. It will last until 31 May. The RHS wants members of the public to help take care of bumblebees by photographing the ones they see on flowers in their gardens or local parks, and uploading their photos to an app. Bumblebees are one of the most common bees found in UK gardens and parks. They tend to be plumper and hairier than other bees. The information collected by the public will improve the RHS’s knowledge of bumblebees, such as what sort of flowers they prefer.
