A Wicked young actress

Young actress Karis Musongole, 10, stars in the hit movie Wicked. Karis, from Oldham, England, plays the younger version of Elphaba, the green-skinned Wicked Witch of the West. Getting the part was especially exciting for Karis because her best friend Harriet Ryan, nine, also had a role in the film as a Munchkin. Karis told The Oldham Times newspaper that she got to spend time with actress Cynthia Erivo, who plays the grown-up version of Elphaba. She said, “I got to watch her doing her flying stunt, which was amazing to watch. I thought she was so brave to do that. She is such an inspiration.”…
