In the UK, children at primary schools eat an average of three school meals a week. This is usually a main meal followed by a dessert. Action on Sugar, a group of health experts at Queen Mary University of London, in England, are worried that children are eating too much sugar. They estimate that if you eat a cake at lunchtime at school, a chocolate bar on the way home and one or two biscuits in the evening, you could be eating up to 92.5 grams of sugar a day.
