On 3 April, a crowd gathered at Everland zoo, South Korea, to wave goodbye to a much-loved panda as she began her journey to China. Fu Bao was the first giant panda ever born in South Korea. Her parents were brought to the country from China as part of a diplomacy (relationship-building) programme, and the rules said she had to be taken to China before she was four years old.
