Get creative with paper

Brighten up the winter days with colourful patterns and designs made from recycled paper.

Paper lizard What you need • Old newspapers and magazines• Masking tape or• sticky tape• Scissors• A ruler• Glue• A glue brush• Coloured paper• A pencil• Card 1 Squash a sheet of newspaper into a sausage shape. Wrap another sheet over the top to make it bigger, then stick with tape. 2 Tightly wrap a piece of tape around your shape near one end. Press the paper to shape a neck, head and body and add more tape. 3 Press half a sheet of newspaper into a tail. Twist along it and wrap with tape. Use tape to make a point at one end. 4 For legs, roll two 15cm-wide newspaper strips along the length, press, cover tightly with tape, then twist. Cut four 10cm legs and eight 4cm toes.…
