Hungry frogs like to tap dance Throughout the animal kingdom, lots of animals like to put on a dance display to attract a mate. A study published in January found that a certain species of frog also loves to tap its toes – but they don’t do it to attract a mate. Their tap dancing is actually a clever method they use to make their prey easier to catch. Researchers from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, in the US, studied the behaviour of dyeing poison frogs. These are very colourful and toxic frogs that only grow to around five centimetres long. They live in rainforests and swamps…
