These six individuals inspired everyone to make a difference, help others and believe in themselves.

Hemesh Chadalavada The inventor inspired by his grandmother. Aged 17, Hemesh Chadalavada got his brilliant invention, the Alpha Monitor, to an important stage – it was ready to be made and pre-ordered by people. Chadalavada designed the Alpha Monitor to help people with Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s affects the brain and can cause memory loss, confusion and speech difficulties. Someone with the disease can wear the monitor as a badge or an armband and it alerts a carer if they fall or wander off. Hemesh, from Hyderabad in India, wanted to help after seeing his grandmother struggle with Alzheimer’s. He taught himself robotics and electronics using YouTube videos.
