Damaged library reopens

On 12 December, a library in Liverpool that was damaged earlier this year has reopened. More than £250,000 was raised to help restore Spellow Library in Walton after riots in August. The reopening included a lantern parade with 300 adults and children. When the library lit up for the first time, more than 135 libraries across the country also turned on their lights. A pupil told BBC News the library was important because it helped him with his spelling.…
