NASA, the US space agency, is asking the public to come up with ideas to keep astronauts safe on the Moon. The person who submits the best idea will win nearly £16,000. NASA is hoping to land astronauts on the Moon in 2027 as part of its Artemis 3 mission. The team will be exploring the lunar south pole to see if they can find water or ice there. Exploring the Moon could be dangerous for astronauts because it is very cold and rocks and craters make the surface difficult to walk on. This could put astronauts at risk of getting injured and perhaps even being stranded on the Moon.
