Tolkien’s influence on toys and games

Lego sets Lego has made several sets inspired by Middle-Earth. Some are of the main characters from The Lord of the Rings, including Frodo Baggins, Gandalf the wizard and Legolas the elf. There are also complex sets for adults, such as a recreation of Rivendell, home of the elves. Video games In 1982, the first official game based on Tolkien’s work came out, called The Hobbit. It came with a copy of the book and followed the adventures of Bilbo Baggins. Tales of the Shire, a game where you can enjoy the cosy life of a hobbit, is coming out next year.
